The Harley Street Clinic has dedicated facilities for outpatient chemotherapy and associated treatments.
In a calm, comfortable and supportive environment, patients receive chemotherapy, blood transfusions, symptom management and blood tests. Our team of specialist cancer nurses works closely with the pharmacists, dietitians and resident medical officers to provide a high standard of care to patients under the care of the oncologists in the unit.
Nursing staff undertake thorough assessments of patients' symptoms, provide information on treatments and support patients in managing their illness and the emotional, physical and psychological effects. They liaise with patients' consultants to ensure they have up-to-date and comprehensive information on their status and progress.
Our philosophy is to care for the whole person, and ensure they receive optimum support, including pre-treatment visits and, if required, follow-up telephone advice or nurse review on the day unit. Where patients require community support, our staff link with general practitioners, community nurses and palliative care teams according to the patient's individual needs.
